The Dormaal locality, famous for its mammal fauna, has also yielded elasmobranch teeth. Twenty-three elasmobranch taxa are found here for the first time. Cretaceous and thanetian elements, as well as some new small forms previously unknown before the Ypresian are located in the same assemblage. Among the nine forms considered here, seven are new; two are formally described and five are left with open nomenclature.
