International audience ; A cross-border cooperation project, funded by the Interreg programme of the European Union, called BLUE, aims to enhance and raise awareness on the resources embedded by wastelands on a riverside. The aim of this paper is to explore the public and educational utility of a moment of this cross-border cooperation project, focused on an urban project workshop, which combines the intervention of professional actors, researchers, residents and students in urban planning and architecture around the future of a vast brownfield, located in La Louvière (Belgium). First, we will specify the motivations for this cross-border cooperation project. A second phase will expose the outlines of this intensive urban project workshop. Thirdly, we will discuss the public and educational interests of this workshop. ; Un projet de coopération transfrontalière, financé par le programme Interreg de l’Union européenne, dénommé BLUE, vise la valorisation et la sensibilisation aux ressources qu’intègrent les friches en bordure de voie d’eau. L’objectif de cette communication sera d’interroger l’utilité publique et pédagogique d’un moment de ce projet de coopération transfrontalière, axé sur un atelier de projet urbain mêlant acteurs professionnels, chercheurs, habitants et étudiants en urbanisme et architecture autour du devenir d’une vaste friche sidérurgique, située à La Louvière (Belgique). D’abord, nous préciserons les motivations de ce projet de coopération transfrontalière. Ensuite, nous exposerons les contours de cet atelier intensif de projet urbain. Finalement, nous ferons un retour réflexif sur l’utilité publique et pédagogique de cet atelier.
