Le cinéma belge peut-il être un « laboratoire européen » ? En étudiant une cinématographie bicéphale (car composée de productions en deux langues et de cultures distinctes, flamande et francophone), on peut tenter de cerner les enjeux à la fois économiques, artistiques et institutionnels, en lien avec l’édification d’un cinéma européen. Il s’agit de comprendre les interactions entre une politique cinématographique et le type de films pouvant être produits et diffusés. ; Can Belgian cinema be a “European laboratory”? By studying a cinematography with a two-headed face (because it is composed of productions in two languages and distinct cultures, Flemish and French-speaking), we can try to identify the economic, artistic and institutional issues at stake in the construction of a European cinema. The aim is to understand the interactions between a film policy and the type of films that can be produced and distributed.
