The Political Organisation and the Evolution of African Society in the Belgian Congo

This article represents the bulk of a joint lecture on the 28th January, under the chairmanship of M. Nieuwenhuys, Charged's Affaires at the Belgian Embassy. Professor Marzorati had a distinguished legal career in the Congo, becoming Governor of Ruanda-Urundi in 1926. In 1932, he became a Professor at the Free University of Brussels, and today holds the chair of Belgian Studies in the University of London.
