Basic income(s): political parties’ positions and cleavages on the French-speaking Belgian scene

This working paper presents an overview of the positions of three French-speaking Belgian political parties (MR, PS and Ecolo)on unconditional basic income. Following a grey litterature review, it shows the persistent relevance of the left-right cleavage. Indeed, classical themes provoking divisions between the left and the right wings of the political spectrum are also percolating the BI debate.
