Restauration ou falsification ? Le Saint Jérôme pénitent attribué à Albert Bouts et conservé au Musée de l’Art wallon à Liège

This article consists of a technical and stylistic investigation of a Saint Jerome in the Wilderness formerly attributed to Albrecht Bouts. Technical analysis showed that the painting has been altered in order to make it appear to be by the hand of Bouts.
