The purpose of this text was the empowerment of leaders in the rural areas of the municipality of Sabanalarga, an approach was made to the spaces and instances of social participation such as the Territorial Planning Councils (CTP), the Municipal Councils for Rural Development ( CMDR) at the municipal and departmental level with the Sectional Council for Agricultural Development (CONSEA), as well as actions with public servants of the Office of the Municipal Unit of Agricultural Technical Assistance (UMATA), the Secretariat for Social Integration, offices these attached to the mayor of the municipality of Sabanalarga, said process was approached from a participatory methodology mediated from the participant action approach in order to fill the knowledge gaps since the common denominator was the scarcity of solid information in this regard and the exercise made it possible to promote the empowerment and transformative leadership in spaces and institutions ace of social participation and in social and institutional leaders.
