To take a decision about buying or changing a new plane for a fleet is a complex situation that involves a lot of variables. To take a decision about buying or changing a new plane for a fleet is a complex situation that involves a lot of variables. In addition, if this process takes part in an aeroclub instead of a big company, and also involves an aerobatic fleet, the complexity gets higher. In 2007 the Aeroclub Barcelona-Sabadell started a process of fleet renovation. As part of this process, some decisions were taken that finally have not given the desired results. As a consequence, the company did not reach the profit and lost statement objectives of that year. This is the main reason why the aeroclub wants to follow an accurate and methodological approach to decide the purchase of a new aircraft for the aerobatic fleet, bearing always in mind, in one hand the technical requirements and in the other hand the profitability of the capital expenditure in terms of the acrobatic section viability in future. The present work gets deeper in this analysis, in order to make a final recommendation as a result of the fulfillment of the technical and operational requirements as well as the economic and financial viability of the new acquisition. ; El proceso de toma de decisiones sobre la ampliación/renovación de una flota de aviones es un tema complejo que baraja muchas variables. Si dicho proceso no se lleva a cabo en una gran compañía sino en un aeroclub, y además hablamos de la flota destinada a vuelo acrobático, la complejidad aumenta todavía más. Desde el año 2007 el Aeroclub Barcelona-Sabadell está inmerso en un proceso de renovación de su flota. Dentro de dicho proceso se han tomado algunas decisiones que no han dado el fruto que se esperaba, lastrando los resultados de la entidad. Es por eso que a la hora de plantearse la ampliación de la flota de vuelo acrobático se quiere abordar el proceso de toma de decisiones de una manera metódica y estructurada.
