Urban interruptions, directly affect the urban systems of a city, from the pedestrian flows to public transportation flows passing by commercial and services activities. When identifying the site of the Station of the Sa- bana as a scar in the urban texture of the city center of Bogota, a number of authors could be cited when talking about the phenomena, looking at the effects of such area from various point of views such as urban, architectural, social, economical and cultural. This investigation aims to study strategies to convert a Border Vacuum into a cultural and artistic hub taking into consideration the arguments, ideas and theories of authors such as Jane Jacobs who defined the term Border Vacuum and analyses its effect, Francoise Astorg Bollack and Francesco Cherchi who present the opportunity of old abandoned buildings to revive a neighborhood and the relations between the private and public spaces. ; Las interrupciones urbanas, afectan directamente los sistemas urbanos de una ciudad, desde los flujos peatonales hasta los flujos de transportes públicos y pasando por actividades comerciales y de servicios. Al identificar el sitio de la Estación de la Sabana como una cicatriz en la textura urbana del centro de la ciudad de Bogotá, se podrían citar varios autores al hablar de ese fenómeno, observando los efectos de dicha zona desde diversos puntos de vista como urbanístico, arquitectónico, social, económico y cultural. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo estudiar estrategias para convertir un vacío fronterizo en un centro cultural y artístico teniendo en cuenta los argumentos, ideas y teorías de autores como Jane Jacobs que definió el término Vacío Fronterizo y analiza su efecto, Francoise Astorg Bollack y Francesco Cherchi que presentan la oportunidad de antiguos edificios abandonados para revivir un barrio y las relaciones entre los espacios públicos y privados. ; Magíster en Arquitectura ; Arquitecto ; Maestría ; Pregrado
