Flora and Vegetation the Santa María Key (Savannah-Camaguey Archipelago) ; Flora y Vegetación de Cayo Santa María (Archipiélago Sabana- Camagüey)

On the base of the critical revision of previous works of the authors, enriched with reports obtained in recent collections (deposited in the HPVC), the vegetation was described and a list of the species of the flora of Santa Maria Key was elaborated. They were determined nine plant formations that include variants. The flora of the key embraces 277 species, with 12,8 % of endemic species, 37,6 % of littoral species and 67,5 % of potential economic flora; the stronger floristic relationships are with the North Caribbean (84,9 %), if only the non endemic species are taken . .Citation: Noa Monzó...
