The objective of this research project is to develop the technical process that must be fulfilled to propose the geometric design of the road from Rio Nuevo to Bachillero Recinto, through the road design standards, considerations and variations that must be made in the pre-feasibility stage. Starting with a current topographic survey of the sector in order to point out details of the elevations and contour lines that are considered in the geometric design of the road, the development of this work was carried out with a total station referenced with GPS and thus graphically represent the reality of the road. The field work to classify the road includes the vehicle count and determines the annual average daily traffic that the Ministry of Transportation and Public Works has in consideration and its characteristics in terms of superelevations, speeds and curvature radii. From the activities carried out in the field we proceed to the office work with the computerized topography to obtain a proposal of horizontal alignment that includes superelevations and widths in the curves respecting the design speeds and minimum radiuses as well as the horizontal and vertical alignment based on the norms for the geometric design of the road, so that there are no traffic accidents and to safeguard the life of the citizens. ; El presente proyecto de investigación tiene el objetivo de desarrollar el proceso técnico que se debe cumplir para plantear la propuesta del diseño geométrico de la vía: Río Nuevo hasta el Recinto Bachillero, mediante las normas de diseño vial, las consideraciones y las variaciones que se deben realizar en la etapa de prefactibilidad.
