This article is based on the need to recognize the native biodiversity through the environmental awareness of the students of the Santa Fe del Arcial Educational Center in Buenavista, Córdoba (Colombia). The general objective focuses on evaluating the impact of the use of eco-pedagogical strategies supported by digital communication tools, in the recognition and conservation of native species of fauna and flora. This study is based on the postulates of Acebal (2010), Ballesteros and Linares (2015), Rozmán (2015), Ruíz (2016), Marín (2019), Pita (2016) and others, to address education towards conservation. of biodiversity, benefiting the educational community under study and the context in which they operate. As a result of the analysis of the diagnosis, a pedagogical proposal is designed, taking as an input the construction of a primer on fauna and flora as the first bibliographic reference on local biodiversity and the interaction in the social network Facebook, oriented towards environmental awareness through recognition, care and they had native biota. For the methodological design, the qualitative method with a descriptive scope supported by the precepts of Participatory Action Research was obtained, taking 18 sixth grade students and one teacher as the original sample. The results show that the staging of responsible and reasonable actions with the environment as a product of massive participation in the applied strategies, energizes environmental education in the institution.
