Laut Sulawesi: The Celebes Sea, from Center to Peripheries

Laut Sulawesi, or the Celebes Sea, is a basin enclosed to the north by the Sulu Archipelago and Mindanao, to the east by the Sangir and Talaud islands, to the south by the peninsula of North Sulawesi, and to the west by the eastern coast of Sabah. Maritime traffic links the area with the Java, the Flores, and the South China seas and the Pacific Ocean.
