Research for planning of outdoor recreation facilities in the Netherlands

In the Netherlands the planning and management of outdoor recreation projects is becoming more and more important. This is caused on the one hand by a rapidly growing demand for such projects and on the other hand by the relationship that exists between outdoor recreation activities and land-use-planning. It is for this reason that in the densely populated Netherlands a special Ministry has been created that deals, among other things, with outdoor recreation . This Ministry is called the Ministry for Culture, Recreation and Social Affairs (CRM).
