PURPOSE: To study the relationship between baseline spherical equivalents (SphE) of refraction and prevalent as well as incident age-related maculopathy (pARM and iARM, respectively). METHODS: The study was performed as part of the Rotterdam Study, a population-based, prospective cohort study.
