During the first days of March 1616 the fleet led by the Dutch Joris van Spilbergen set in the Philippine region of Mariveles, from this place, they assaulted as many ships as they saw. The presence of the VOC fleet broke the daily life of this space, allowing us to access details about the Philippine domestic trade and the life of the people who sailed its waters.
