Napoleonic prefects and subprefects in the Netherlands and Northwest Germany

This dataset contains the names/appointments of all (sub)prefects in the Dutch and Northwest German departments of the French Empire, c.1809-1814. It is a so-called Palladio-project, containing visualizations which can be viewed with Stanford University's 'Palladio' application, at http://hdlab.stanford.edu/palladio/ The data set is based on name lists as published in the annual 'Almanach impériale'.
