Dutch legal practice has always been assumed to be in accordance with the ECHR. The question is whether this is indeed the case. This book describes whether substantive criminal law and government liability law meet the requirements arising from the positive obligations flowing from Articles 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 ECHR and Article 1 of the First Protocol thereof.
