The paper focuses on the interpretations of the concept of revolution in work of Rosa Luxemburg. It follows the basis of Luxemburg’s reflection on the revolution, their specific historical context and impli- cations. The article outlines the controversy with revisionism, which, particularly in Luxemburg’s works, represents the first source of a theoretical grasp of the (socialist) revolution as a way of social change.
