This thesis deals with the politics of the Margrave of Meissen, William I the one-eyed (1343-1407), towards the Kingdom of Bohemia and his relationship to the ruling dynasty of the House of Luxemburg. Particular attention is paid to his marriage to Elizabeth of Luxembourg (Elizabeth of Moravia), his stays at the imperial court of Charles IV and subsequently his own expansive politics towards Wenceslaus IV.
