Psalter and Hours of Bonne of Luxembourg, Duchess of Normandy: The Three Living (folio 321v)

The Three Living (folio 321v) ; Illuminated in Paris, this manuscript was made for Bonne of Luxembourg, a Bohemian princess who married John, duke of Normandy and later king of France, known as John the Good. Her arms, Luxembourg impaled with Valois, appear throughout the manuscript in the lower borders. The style, influenced by Jean Pucelle, indicates a date toward the middle of the century, prior to the death of Bonne from plague in 1349.
