Gota úrica em calopsitas (Nymphicus hollandicus)

The uric gout has been often diagnosed in cockatiel, birds that has been popularized and frequently shown in the avian practice. This disease is a consequence of renal failure. In the Wildlife Clinic, a specialized facility in Sao Paulo, 15 cockatiel presenting unspecific signs of polyuria and polidipsia were followed and diagnosed as uric gout.
