Presidential elections in France -2012: between gaulist values the tradition of french leftbit

This article contains a case study over the 2012 presidential campaign in France. The author elucidates the political context, positioning techniques of the main candidates – Nicolas Sarkozy and Francois Hollande, basic campaign topics, external factor impact. At the end of the study there is reflected an evolution of communication formulas with the electorate – letters, addresses, brochures etc. – starting with 1981 to 2012. The author makes an analysis of the usage of Twitter and Facebook social networks by the campaign staffs.
