Deux Hollandaises à Trévoux (1788-1797) : voyage d’agrément ou engagement politique ?

This article focuses on the ‘revolutionary voyage’ of Elizabeth Wolff, née Bekker (1738-1804) and her friend and companion Agatha Deken (1741-1804). These two Dutch women writers and patriots emigrated to France in 1788 shortly after the failure of the Dutch Patriot Revolution and spent their nine years of political exile in the little town of Trévoux.
