Rosario Doloroso

The print is the second in a series of three engravings showing the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries of the rosary. Here the five Sorrowful Mysteries are shown on rose blooms joined by rosary beads and attached to a thorn bush. They are the Agony in the garden, the Scourging, the Crowning with Thorns, the Carrying of the Cross and the Crucifixion. At the center is the Pieta.
