EXPORT DIVERSIFICATION: A CASE OF NIGERIAN TRADE

ABSTRACT This study investigates the export diversification of Nigerian trade, using a secondary time series data from various sources. Comparative diversification index, unit value index, percentage share and the real value of export were used to analyze the trend of Nigerian export. Overall evidence is strong and clear that over the years of the study, Nigerian export has not achieved significant diversification.
