Background: A common complication after a DIEP flap reconstruction is the occurrence of fat necrosis due to inadequate flap perfusion zones. Intraoperative identification of ischemic zones in the DIEP flap could be optimized using indocyanine green near-infrared fluorescence angiography (ICG-NIR-FA).
