To begin with, I'll focus on the Dutch name Jan. Secondly, I'll analyze which Dutch compound words include the name Jan, as well as the semantic fields they can be grouped into. Then, I'll talk about the influence of this name into German and English. As regards the latter, the word Yankee will be explained in depth. I mean to draw conclusions about the sort of word it becomes part of and the situations that it's used in. Also, the degree of influence over the aforementioned languages will be discussed. ; En primer lugar, me centraré en el origen del nombre propio Jan. Más tarde, mostraré en qué palabras compuestas neerlandesas se utiliza Jan y en qué campos semánticos se pueden agrupar. A continuación, analizaré la influencia de dicho nombre propio en alemán e inglés, haciendo una especial mención a la palabra Yankee. Pretendo dilucidar qué tipo de léxico se adhiere a Jan para formar una palabra compuesta, en qué situaciones es utilizada y cuál es el campo semántico más numeroso. Finalmente se observará el grado de contribución a las lenguas indicadas anteriormente.
