To improve the primary care process in home care, it is important to gain insight into experienced quality from the perspective of clients within existing care triads. It is necessary to include qualitative measures in the home care process, in addition to their quantitative counterparts, to facilitate the sharing of the client’s care experiences and to obtain rich quality information. It is therefore important that relevant content is measured clients, informal and formal caregivers, as well as being both feasible in the home care setting and usable in existing care processes. This dissertation, therefore, focused on the process of determining stakeholders’ needs when developing a qualitative experienced quality measure from a client’s perspective specifically for the home care setting. This dissertation focuses on home care clients receiving long-term care.
