Deed and guarantee of release, 1787

Two documents relating to the purchase of lands by Daniel Van Winkle, from heirs of Cornelius Diedericks. The first being a deed in which the "lots of land swamp and meadow" are sold for "Five pounds lawful money of the State of New Jersey." The deed also refers to "Divers other Good Causes and Considerations" prompting the heirs, Garret Van Reypen, his wife Jennetie and Martin Winner, to sell. In the second document, the sellers guarantee that the land will be turned over with a bond of 600 pounds.
