This article analyzes the fragment 36 of La Hora de todos y la Fortuna con seso, by Francisco de Quevedo. It narrates the encounter and dialogue between a Dutch captain and the Chilean Indians. Quevedo attacks the Dutchs who tried to become allies of the Chilean Indians in order to expel the Spaniards from America.
