Jean Pellicorne with his son Caspar

Jean Pellicorne, a wealthy Amsterdam merchant, married Susanna van Collen in 1626, and their children, Anna and Caspar, were born in December 1626 and June 1628 respectively. This portrait shows Capsar bringing his father a bag of money. It is the companion piece to the portrait of Susanna van Collen with her Daughter Anna (also in the Wallace Collection, P90).
