O trabalho analisa um pós-escrito em tupi assinado pelo potiguara capitão Simão Soares, introduzido em carta na mesma língua do também potiguara capitão Antônio Filipe Camarão em 19 de agosto de 1645. Os objetivos do trabalho são: levantar dados biográficos do autor do pós-escrito e, em relação ao texto, transcrevê-lo paleograficamente, traduzi-lo para o português e analisá-lo do ponto de vista linguístico e discursivo. ; This study examines a post scriptum document in Tupi language signed by the Potiguara Chieftain Simão Soares, introduced in a letter produced in the same language by the fellow Potiguara Chieftain Antônio Filipe Camarão in August 19th, 1645. The objectives of this work are: to compile bibliographical information about the post scriptum author, and in what concerns the text itself, we aim to transcribe it paleographically, translate it to Portuguese and analyze it linguistically and discursively.
