Dutch Reform Church, Kinderhook, N.Y.

A photographic postcard depicting the Kinderhook Reformed Church on Broad Street in Kinderhook, N.Y. The image captures the facade of the building and a segment of its side. Also pictured is a New York State Historical Marker for the church, which reads: "Reformed Dutch Church / Organized in 1712 / Sixth Church between New York and Albany." Originating as a mission for an Albany church c.1677, the Dutch Reformed Church became a separate organization in 1712. Pictured is the fourth version of the building, built in 1869 (History of Old Kinderhook New York, Collier 270 and 273).
