Sketch: untitled Dutch harbor scene

Circa 1885 The sketch depicts a 19th century harbor scene. Three fully rigged sailing vessels with masts are moored at what appears to be a stone wall. A pier extends into the distance on the left hand side of the sketch. This untitled oil sketch on canvas was discovered behind a framed, 1883 Dutch scene watercolor painting by Charles A. Platt, while it was under restoration by the Williamstown Art Conservation Center in 2009.
