HISTORY OF NAMING AND CRIMINAL CODE APPLIES IN INDONESIA

Indonesia as a legal state, has not yet formed its own Criminal Code. This means, the Criminal Code which was formed by the legislators from the Netherlands, is still the Criminal Code used by the Indonesian Nation. The Criminal Code during the Dutch colonial period and in the early days of Indonesia’s independence, was called the Wetboek van Strafrecht voor Nederlandsch Indie, which was established on 15 October 1915 and entered into force on 1 January 1918.
