Analysing social work practices through the lens of the Capability Approach : insights from fieldwork in South Africa and Belgium

Abstract: Rationale: Globally, social work is facing difficulties to enact its social justice mandate. These difficulties stem from an intersection of institutionalised, political, and economic pressures on the social work profession. As a result, access to care is being curtailed, leaving the most vulnerable behind.
