In early 2021, Belgian journalist and writer Évelyne Guzy published The Curse of Words, a historical account of the two branches of her Jewish family, several of whose members were deported from Mechelen to Auschwitz during the Second World War. The third part, «The Resistance Fighter,» is devoted to the heroic figure and controversial personality of her maternal grandfather Roger-David Katz. The late discovery of documents to which she has access allows her to see that in the family mythology, certain things do not «fit», mainly about the possible participation of her hero in the episode of the XXth convoy, a very controversial episode deeply rooted in the memory of the Belgian Resistance. In this essay, in the light of the studies devoted to him, we try to take stock of this affair and to understand the reasons that push Guzy to return today to this high fact that has become legendary. ; A principios de 2021, la periodista y escritora belga Évelyne Guzy publica La maldición de las palabras, un relato histórico acerca de las dos ramas de su familia judía de la que varios miembros fueron deportados de Malinas a Auschwitz durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. La tercera parte, «El luchador de la resistencia», está dedicada a la figura heroica y la personalidad controvertida de su abuelo materno Roger-David Katz. De hecho, el descubrimiento tardío de documentos a los que tiene acceso le permite ver que en la mitología familiar hay cosas que no «encajan», principalmente sobre la posible participación de su héroe en el episodio del vigésimo convoy, un episodio controvertido y profundamente arraigado en la memoria de la Resistencia belga.
