Adjustment of a transport offer : the use of floating mobile data ; Adaptation d'une offre de transport : l'utilisation des floating mobile data
This paper is dedicated to the restructuring of the public transport network of the Charleroi Metropole in Wallonia, Belgium, a rather vast and contrasted area, facing urban sprawl and solo driving’s supremacy. This adjustment means a total redesign of the level of service of pre-existing lines, especially in the urban area, where the transport offer must be more competitive than private cars, demanding high level of service. The transport offer of the rural area is also studied with the use of FMD, to provide a structural regular offer but also an on-demand service. The environmental aspect i... Mehr ...

The environmental aspect is also considered by calculating the carbon impact of the implementation of a public transport line.
