La construction du problème public de l’islamophobie en Belgique francophone à travers sa médiatisation

This article focuses on the mediatization of the public problem of islamophobia in French-speaking Belgium, between 1989 and 2016, through a diachronic analysis of nominal (islamophobia) and adjectival (grouped under the term islamophob*) uses in three national daily newspapers (Le Soir, La Libre Belgique and La Dernière Heure). The aim of this study is to understand how this public problem has progressively emerged in the French-speaking Belgian public debate by identifying its different phases of publicization in the media.
