International audience ; Arville is a Lower Devonian fossiliferous locality of the Belgian Ardenne Massif (lower St Hubert Formation). Its ichthyofauna includes heterostracans (Althaspis leachi, Weigeltaspis sp.), undetermined osteostracans, thelodonts (Turinia pagei, T. polita, Nikolivia sp. 1, N. sp. 2), chondrichthyans (Leonodus cf. L. carlsi), placoderms (Actinolepididae gen. et sp. indet.), and acanthodians (Ischnacanthidae gen. et sp. indet.). This assemblage is Lochkovian in age. It is biostratigraphically correlated to the "Dittonian" of Great Britain, the Pernes Formation of Artois (France), the Nogueras Formation of Celtiberia and its equivalents in the Cantabrian Chain (Spain). The heterostracan remains from Nonceveux, in the vicinity of the Stavelot Massif (lowermost Bois d'Ausse Sandstones) are revised under Rhinopteraspis crouchi?. When correlated by means of spores within the Lower Devonian of Ardenne, Nonceveux is younger than Arville. This leads to consider a possible partial overlap of the stratigraphical distributions of R. crouchi and A. leachi, both being index-species of the siliciclastic Lower Devonian of Europe. The fish assemblage of Arville includes both Euramerican and Gondwanan taxa, which is not in disagreement with the hypothesis of a geographical proximity of the corresponding continents in Early Devonian time. ; L'ichtyofaune d'un site fossilifère du Dévonien inférieur de l'Ardenne belge, Arville (partie inférieure de la Formation de St Hubert) comprend des Hétérostracés (Althaspis leachi, Weigeltaspis sp.), des Ostéostracés indéterminés, des Thélodontes (Turinia pagei, T. polita, Nikolivia sp. 1, N. sp. 2), des Chondrichtyens (Leonodus cf.
