Educational policy in a European context: Exploring processes of governmentalisation in Flanders

The reported study seeks to deepen our understanding of the role of nation state government in relation to globalisation, and in particular in relation to Europeanisation. Using current policy of the Flemish government (Belgium) as a case, this study demonstrates the emergence of a new mode of government or regulation, that is, government through 'feedback on performance'.
