peer reviewed ; Introduction: The term pseudohypoparathyroidism was introduced in 1942 by Albright et al. to describe several patients presenting hypocalcemia and hyperphosphatemia in association with short stature, short metacarpals and metatarsals, obesity as well as neurocognitive impairment (1).
