Workplace democracy and job flows

This paper investigates the relationship between workplace democracy and job flows. * We analyze the comparative behavior of worker-managed firms and conventional firms. * WMFs exhibit lower gross job creation and destruction rates than CFs. * Both WMFs and CFs have decreasing in age and increasing in size gross job creation profiles. * In WMFs, job flows are high for nonmembers (employees) and low for members.
