On Friday 8 November 2013 the Royal Netherlands Historical Society (rnhs) in cooperation with the Vereniging voor Vrouwen- en Gendergeschiedenis (vvg) held its annual Autumn Congress, this time dedicated to Women 1813-1913-2013. One hundred years ago women’s organizations held a vast exhibition in recognition of the first centenary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. At the second centenary, the rnhs and the vvg took the opportunity to review the position of women in the Netherlands in the last century.
