The Sex Discrimination - (Indirect Discrimination and Burden of Proof) Regulations 2001 - We provide a synopsis of the Regulations that purport to implement in the UK the EC Directive on the burden of proof in sex discrimination cases. These incorporate a revised definition of indirect discrimination into the employinent-related provisions of the Sex Discrimination Act, and provide for the statutory reversal of the burden of proof in cases brought by individuals under those provisions.
