Some organisations are adopting a more direct approach, and are offering jobseekers a "golden hello" as a means of attracting talent in a highly competitive labour market. We find that the practice has been common in some industries for many years - normally for prestige, hard-to-fill, op jobs, such as executive positions - but it is becoming more widespread.
