Dispute resolution: 2 - ACAS to the rescue - We investigate the individual conciliation service offered to both parties by ACAS when an application is made to an employment tribunal. Such conciliation comprises by far the largest part of the ACAS workload, and, among the employers polled by IRS, we find that a majority have accepted at least one offer of ACAS conciliation in respect of a tribunal application within the past five years.
