Contracts of employment - Nottingham University v Fishel and another - A senior employee was not under a fiduciary duty to his employer in respect of paid work he personally undertook abroad, the High Court holds. Employment relationships are not "inherently" fiduciary relationships, and the implied contractual duties of good faith, loyalty and trust and confidence should not automatically be equated with fiduciary obligations.
