Civil service pay - from individual to team reward - An increased emphasis on performance ties at the heart of new pay arrangements for civil service departments and agencies. The main, controversial recommendation is for the introduction of non-consolidated team bonuses, but with the Treasury keen to keep a tight lid on pay awards for public servants, some observers have questioned whether the key objectives of the proposals are realisable. To examine the reactions of the civil service unions, we talked to representatives from the FDA, IPMS and PCS.
